Gotenba trail is the longest distance trail among 4 trails on Mt. Fuji. The 5th station is located at an altitude of 1440 m. Since the distance is longer than other 3 trails, the trail is known for fitter hikers.
Sandy surface trail continues up to an altitude of 3000m. The trail was damaged by Hoei eruption in 1707. We will walk up slowly but surely. Mt. Hoei is located on the left and a wonderful view of Hakone mountains, lake Yamanakako, Izu peninsula and Sagami bay.
Gotenba descending trial is one of highlights of Mt. Fuji. "Oosunabashiri" is alike sand cushion created by volcanic ash. One the way down, let's stop on the peak of Mt. Hoei. The view from Mt. Hoei is amazing with 360 degrees view.
